We Are Young - Overland Park Styled Shoot
When I first met Alanzo and Iesha, we instantly bonded over delicious barbecue at Thursday Therapy, a monthly get together in Kansas City for wedding professionals. New to the game, they were out and about to meet some new faces and get connected. They had such style and were very excited about starting out on their coordination adventure with their new company Worth The Wait Studios. Soon after the event Alanzo contacted me about his fantastic idea to collaborate a debut stylized shoot. With his concept he states, “This shoot is about diversity, and exploring the ways in which weddings can look and love can be expressed. That beautiful weddings include imagery past rustic chic and pastels. I especially wanted to celebrate young black love, which I often times feel is underrepresented. WE ARE YOUNG is a representation of the vision that many millennials, like myself share toward humanity; that in diversity there is beauty and there is strength.”
It was such an honor to be a part of the shoot and to be the one to transfer their ideas into art that expresses the beauty of vibrant colors and celebrate young black couples.
A BIG thank you to all the amazing vendors who made this vision come to life. Please take the time to visit these very talented professionals.
